Joseph Rossi, DVM

Veterinarian/ Practice Owner

Dr. Joseph Rossi completed his undergraduate studies at Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, Pa. He received his Veterinary degree in 1987 from Ross University and completed his clinical studies at Oklahoma State University and Ontario Veterinary College. He finished his studies with an externship at Rochester Equine Clinic. Dr. Rossi started his career as a large animal Veterinarian in Northern Pennsylvania, focusing on Surgery and Reproduction. In 1990, he returned to the Delaware Valley area.

Dr. Rossi established North Penn Animal Hospital in 1996, dreaming of building a quality, caring family practice in Montgomery County. Since then, North Penn Animal Hospital has grown substantially because of its hiring strategy based on core values – kindness and compassion for clients and patients.

Dr. Rossi’s interests include all aspects of surgery, both orthopedic and soft tissue, reproduction, dentistry, and especially the needs and surgeries required for the brachycephalic breeds. He is looking forward to sharing his experience with all doctors in his practice to continue the legacy of being the caring difference in our community. He is excited to see North Penn Animal Hospital continue to grow by encouraging all his team members to live into NPAH’s mission statement: Giving our patients excellent medical care and treating them with dignity and compassion. Additionally, he is encouraged that with the next generation of his family joining the business, he will continue to provide a healthy and positive work environment for our staff, which results in giving our clients a quality of customer service that surpasses their expectations and ensures that they leave with a positive and caring experience after every visit. Dr. Rossi is excited about the future of Veterinary Medicine and the continual advancement of North Penn Animal Hospital’s team of veterinarians, able to give access to high-quality medicine to more of our community.

Christine Seelaus, DVM

Medical Director

Dr. Christine Seelaus received her B.S. in Small Animal Science from Delaware Valley University. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Dr. Seelaus worked as a room technician assistant at North Penn Animal Hospital. She then attended Kansas State University, earning her D.V.M. in veterinary medicine.

Once she graduated from Kansas State University in 2012, she worked at various hospitals in the area. In 2023, Dr. Seelaus returned to her roots and rejoined NPAH as an Associate Veterinarian. She brings with her a passion and expertise for feline medicine, along with strong interests in dentistry and client education.

Dr. Seelaus loves to find and bring new life to vintage pieces and other treasures in her spare time and relaxes on the weekends by playing video games on multiple platforms. Dr. Seelaus shares her home with her partner Chris, a pocket pittie named Charlie, and multiple feline companions.

Liliana Rosignoli, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Lilliana Rosignoli received her D.V.M. from the University Of Bologna in Italy in 1986. She practiced small animal medicine for five years in Italy where she also wrote a medical advice column for a local magazine. Upon relocation to the United States with her husband, Dr. Rosignoli worked and volunteered in several small and large animal hospitals. She obtained her D.V.M. in the USA in 2001 and has been working as an Associate Veterinarian at North Penn Animal Hospital since that time.

Dr. Rosignoli has a special interest in feline medicine and internal medicine. She has a special gift with cats that shines through in her compassionate and comforting care.

Dr. Rosignoli resides in Lahaska with her husband Roberto, her son Alessandro, her rescued dog Heidi and three rescued cats, Olivia, Ulisse, and Graze. In her free time, Dr. Rosignoli enjoys cooking and reading about history, religion, and the animal world.

Dana Hatfield, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Dana Hatfield received her B.S. in Animal Science in 2001 and her D.V.M. in 2004 from Cornell University. After graduation, she joined the North Penn Animal Hospital team as an Associate Veterinarian. In 2009 she completed her certification for Veterinary Acupuncture through the Chi Institute in Florida.

Dr. Hatfield has a special interest in complimentary and alternative medicine, acupuncture, nutrition, pain management, anesthesia, and dentistry.

Dr. Hatfield lives with her husband, Rob, and their daughter, Abigail.

Shaun Johnson, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Johnson grew up surrounded by the southern charm of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Upon completing his veterinary degree at North Carolina State, he performed a 13-month internship in small animal medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. After his internship, he worked in emergency medicine in Austin, Texas, and joined the North Penn Animal Hospital team in 2009.

Dr. Johnson has a special interest in internal medicine, emergency medicine and surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Johnson spends time with his wife, Kim, and his 3 dogs, Calvin, Clyde, and Harley. He enjoys tennis, traveling, sporting events, and concerts.

Alex Bilello, VMD

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Bilello received his B.S. in biology at the University of Stony Brook and a Master’s Degree in Zoology at the University of Massachusetts. He received his V.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Bilello joined the North Penn Animal Hospital team as a relief Veterinarian January 2014 and we are happy to say, joined our team permanently October 2014.

Dr. Bilello has a particular interest in holistic medicine and animal chiropractic. In his free time, he enjoys fishing, traveling, snorkeling, scuba diving, and spending time with his pit bulls, Jeffrey and Lilly.

Dawn Goldacker, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Goldacker grew up locally in Levittown, Pa. She realized her passion for animals in college during her animal/wildlife studies. During the summers, she would work at a veterinary hospital, igniting her interest in small animal medicine and surgery. She ventured all the way out to Oklahoma State University, where she graduated in 1994 with her Veterinary degree. Thankfully, she found her way to NPAH in 2015.

Dr. Goldacker has a special interest in internal medicine, ultrasound imaging, dentistry, exotic animal care and client communications.

In her spare time, Dr. Goldacker enjoys hiking/being outdoors-studying wildlife/birds, gardening, photography, dance and sharing time with her husband Mike and their two children, Kyle and Tamara. She also shares her home with a menagerie of companions including: three dogs, Ponyo, Lily and Kanga; two cats, Marvin and Brown Nose; a pot-bellied pig, Pumba and a parakeet, Tito.

Michael Engler, VMD

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Engler joined NPAH as an Associate Veterinarian in October 2023. He grew up locally in Perkiomenville and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with his VMD in 2000. He started his career as a mixed animal practitioner in southern Chester County, then moved closer to home, where he’s been practicing at a small animal hospital for the past 20 years.

Dr. Engler’s love for animals started young, as his family had pets. Still, his decision to attend veterinary school didn’t evolve until the junior year of his undergraduate degree. His favorite part of veterinary medicine is building relationships with clients and his patients.

In his free time, Dr. Engler enjoys golfing, hiking, cooking, and exploring flea markets. He shares his home with his wife, Dawn (our very own Dr. Goldacker), their human children, Tamara and Kyle, 3 dogs, 2 cats, a parakeet, and a pig.

Nicole Rogers, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Nicole Rogers grew up on Long Island, always in a multi pet home, with cats, dogs and pocket pets. She rode horses in high school and in college, and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut in 2011. She then went on to earn her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2015.

Dr. Rogers has practiced a mix of general small animal medicine and emergency medicine in Buffalo NY and in southeastern PA. She has special interest in internal medicine, emergency medicine and ultrasonography.

In her free time, Dr. Rogers tries to stay active and enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have a little boy, a Maine coon cat, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and two fish tanks.

John Maxwell, DVM - Relief Vet

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. John Maxwell received both his BS in Microbiology and his D.V.M. from Ohio State University. He completed his Master of Public Health from West Chester University. Dr. Maxwell has an extensive background in small animal medicine and joined the North Penn Animal Hospital team in 2001.

Dr. Maxwell has a special interest in internal medicine and exotics.

In addition to his veterinary background, Dr. Maxwell was also active in the United States Army Reserves and is a retired Lieutenant Colonel. In his spare time Dr. Maxwell likes to hike. He also serves as both a Board member and an Animal Care and Conservation Committee member for the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, Pa. He resides with his wife, Laney, and their dog, Bree.

Ben Seward, DVM

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Ben Seward is a Pennsylvania native who grew up in East Norriton. He received his B.S. in Biology from Arcadia University in 2018. Prior to veterinary school he worked as a zookeeper at the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown, PA where he developed a special interest in exotics, animal behavior and cooperative care in veterinary medicine. He then received his D.V.M from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine.

In his spare time, Dr. Ben enjoys baking, disc golf and hiking. He has a cat named Moose who he adopted during his shelter medicine rotation.

Alexa

Practice Manager

Alexa joined NPAH as the practice manager in July 2022. As a young child, she started her career at NPAH while supporting her dad, Dr.Rossi in weekend C-sections. She spent high school and summers as a Client Care Coordinator until she went to Penn State to study Biomedical Engineering with a minor in the German Language.

When she graduated, she joined a leadership development program at Johnson & Johnson, where she held various roles, including Manufacturing Supervisor in Salt Lake City, Utah. Most recently, Alexa was a Program Facilitator for the Janssen COVID Vaccine program, where she supported the supply chain leadership and executive team.

She is passionate about empowering the NPAH team to achieve their dreams in Vet Med and is excited to continue to enhance their family practice.

In her free time, she likes to travel back to her husband’s home country of Germany and explore new countries. She likes to spend her evenings and weekends horseback riding and going on walks with her two Russel terriers, Grace Kelly and Heidi Klum.

Amanda, CVT, VTS (Dentistry)

Surgery Director/Certified Veterinary Technician

Amanda has been in the veterinary field since 1996, and joined the North Penn Animal Hospital team in April 2005. She graduated from Manor College where she earned an associates degree in Veterinary Technology and was licensed as a Certified Veterinary Technician. In December of 2020, Amanda earned her VTS in Dentistry from the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians.

Amanda and her husband Nate live with their dog Daphne, two cats Gary and Leonard and their skunk Piper.

Kristie, CVT

Medical Technician Manager/Certified Veterinary Technician

Kristie started in the veterinary field in 2004 and joined the NPAH team in 2009. She graduated from Camden County College and earned her CVT in June 2007.

Kristie lives with her husband Phil, her two human kids, Alex and Hannah, two cats, Grey Goose Martini and Buck "the Woodchuck" Norris, and Foxy Roxy, the leopard gecko.

In her free time, Kristie enjoys reading, crocheting, running, hiking, and camping with her family.

Gail

Client Care Manager

Gail entered the veterinary field in 2005 and joined the North Penn Animal Hospital team in October 2007. “I’ve learned so much working here, every day brings something new. I actually enjoy coming to work!”

In her free time, Gail enjoys arts and crafts, gardening, cooking and attempting to train her dogs! She shares her home with her husband Jim, her two Dogo Argentino’s named Mayhem and Chaos and her four cats, Carlos, Bill, D’Vorce’ and Wren.

Eve

Room Assistant Team Lead

Eve started as a veterinary assistant in a small animal hospital in 2017 and joined the North Penn Animal Hospital team in 2019. She has a B.S. in Small Animal Science with a minor in Business Administration from Delaware Valley University. Eve is working towards her Veterinary Technician certification at Penn Foster to enter a program to get certified as a Canine Rehabilitation Therapist. She has always wanted to work hands-on with animal care, and rehabilitation is an up-and-coming wellness practice in veterinary medicine that fits this dream. Currently, her job here is as the Room Technician Team Lead, in charge of training and educating the rest of our room technicians and implementing the best protocols for patient care.

Besides veterinary medicine, Eve is very into music and arts + crafts. Her most recent art obsession is crocheting, and she has bought more yarn than she has space for in her small apartment with her boyfriend, Craig. Eve has one dog, Remington, two cats, Jack and Jolene, and a corn snake named Rotini.

Nicole

Client Care Team Lead

Nicole has been in the veterinary field since 2016 and joined North Penn Animal Hospital in 2021. “I like being in a position that works closely with both the clients as well as the pets. I love working for NPAH specifically because I was born and raised in Lansdale and it has always been a staple of the community.”

In her free time, Nicole enjoys hiking, fishing, snowboarding, thrift shopping, and occasionally binge-watching TV.

Paige

Technician Assistant Team Lead

Before joining North Penn Animal Hospital in 2021, Paige worked at a dog boarding and rescue facility as an Assistant Manager. She wanted to explore the field of veterinary medicine and seized the opportunity to work at NPAH. Initially starting as a Room Technician Assistant, she aimed to broaden her skills. Paige now holds multiple positions at NPAH and may assist you as a technician during your pets' appointments. Additionally, she works as a Technician Assistant, Dental Technician Assistant, and Recovery Technician within the hospital.

Paige serves as the Technician Assistant Team Lead, collaborating with other assistants and recovery technicians in the hospital. Her responsibilities include training, educating, and upholding NPAH's core values while tending to our patients.

Apart from her work at NPAH, Paige enjoys curling up in her reading chair with a good book, going thrift shopping, and spending time with her loved ones. Paige lives with her husband John and their adorable pit-mix, Cowboy. They also care for Gracie, the dwarf rabbit, and two fancy goldfish named Sam and Dean.

Kelsey

Wellness Coordinator & Administrative Assistant

Kelsey started working as a veterinary assistant in a small animal hospital in 2005 and joined the North Penn Animal Hospital team in 2015. She has a B.S. in Wildlife Conservation and Management from Delaware Valley University. Kelsey is presently working towards earning her Veterinary Technician certification at Penn Foster. Kelsey is also Fear Free Certified.

Besides small animals, Kelsey is very passionate about Sharks of all shapes and sizes. She spent 2 months in Bimini Bahamas assisting PhD students with their shark research.

She shares her home with her boyfriend Donny and their three extremely handsome Felines, an adorable french bulldog, two Painted turtles and a handful of fish.
