Emergency & After-Hours Information

If there is a problem with your pet, and you believe it is an emergency, do not hesitate to call our staff at 215-855-5853. We understand your concern when your pet is distressed, and we are trained to help. If it is after hours, our answering service can direct you to the nearest emergency facility or see the links below.

What is an emergency?

Pets are unlike humans; they can’t tell you “where it hurts” or describe “what’s wrong.” There are, however, certain behaviors that may signify that something is seriously wrong. Is your pet acting normally? Are they alert and responsive? Are they eating and drinking normally? Are they able to urinate and make a bowel movement? If your pet has a problem with any of these behaviors, something may be wrong. Please call us! Our caring staff will do their best to work you into the schedule right away.

After Hours Emergency Care Locations and Phone Numbers

If your emergency occurs when North Penn Animal Hospital is closed, we advise you to contact one of the pet emergency locations closest to you.
